🙌🏼This Week’s Inspiration
Bangkok blends ancient temples, lively streets, peaceful waterways, and modern skylines into one unforgettable destination.
Some of the most popular things to do in Bangkok include visiting the Grand Palace and seeing the Emerald Buddha at Wat Phra Kaew. Nearby, Wat Pho is home to the famous Reclining Buddha, while Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, offers beautiful views along the river, especially at sunset.

Beyond the temples, visitors love exploring Chinatown, walking through Lumphini Park, and shopping at places like Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in the world. A visit to Asiatique The Riverfront combines shopping, food, and river views, while rooftop viewpoints across the city offer incredible skyline scenery.
Bangkok’s canal system, known as khlongs, gives a glimpse into the city’s history. A long-tail boat ride through the canals reveals traditional wooden homes, small temples, and daily life along the water, showing how the city once functioned like a floating network of neighborhoods.

The network of canals function like roads
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is one of the most famous floating markets near Bangkok and is known for its lively canals filled with wooden boats. Vendors sell fresh fruit, local snacks, souvenirs, and hot meals directly from their boats, creating a colorful and energetic scene.

How to Get to Bangkok:
Getting to Bangkok is easy, with international flights arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport or Don Mueang Airport. Once there, getting around is simple using the BTS Skytrain, MRT subway, river ferries, and taxis.
Tuktuks are a popular and iconic way to get around Bangkok, offering a fun and fast ride through the city’s busy streets. These three-wheeled vehicles are known for their open sides, bright colors, and unforgettable city views along the way. Make sure to agree on a price with your driver before hopping in.
Where to Stay:
Hotel Clover Asoke - enjoy a floating breakfast in the pool
VIE Hotel Bangkok - rooftop pool, spacious and luxurious rooms
Hotel Once Bangkok - centrally located near many main attractions
MUU Bangkok - small luxury hotel
What to Eat:
Bangkok is a must-visit city for food lovers. Street food is everywhere, with favorites like:
pad thai
green curry
grilled skewers
fresh fruit
and the beloved mango sticky rice made with coconut milk and sweet mango.

TBH we still think about the mango sticky rice
What to Pack:
When packing for Bangkok, lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes are essential for walking and temple visits. Modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees is important for temples, along with sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle to stay cool in the heat.
Bangkok is inspirational because it teaches us how old traditions and modern life can exist side by side. It invites travelers to slow down, observe daily life, and appreciate culture in motion. This city reminds us that the world is full of lessons, beauty, and stories waiting to be discovered.
